two Windows 7 pc's and one Windows Vista pc workgroup.  unable to see all pc's
I have a 3 pc workgroup. 2 Windows 7 Home Premium and one Windows Vista Home Premium. One of the Win 7 pc''s can see both the other pc's. From the other Windows 7 and Vista pc's, they can see and communicate but cannot see the third system. Network Discovery On File and printer sharing On Password Protected file sharing On All PC's can get to the Internet. NSLookup resolves name to IP and IP to name. I have tried connecting using \\IP\share name and cannot force the connection. The system that is invisible cannot ping the other systems but can get to the Internet. HELP!

Hi, This issue can occur by incorrect network settings or incompatible third party programs. To troubleshoot the issue, please perform the following steps. 1. Temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus program on each machine. 2. Modify relevant settings on Windows 7 machine. a. Click Start and open Control Panel. b. Open "Network and Sharing Center" and click "Advanced sharing settings". c. Expand the current network profile (such as "Home or Work"), and then select the following options: "Turn on Network Discovery", "Turn on file and printer sharing", "Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders", "Turn off password protected sharing" Then, please access the network machine again. If the issue persists, please move on the next steps. 3. Write down the network computer’s IP address. Click Start button in Windows 7 and type \\IP address, and then press enter. Can you access the network computer now? If not, please run a Ping test between the problematic machines and post the result here for research. Thanks. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
